Mama Jo Pies & Strudels are the best! I am local and I buy pies for every occasion (My family loves Strawberry Cheesecake, Banana Cream, and Cherry Crumb) whether it's a birthday or holiday, Mama Jo is easy to order from online or by phone, I usually stop in once a week for a regular cream cheese Strudel and they usually always have everything I'm looking for on short notice! No better place in Ohio to get pies from! Great desserts & prices!

I absolutley hate to leave a bad review for this pie company. For many years we looked forward to the coconut cream pies we got from Mama Jos at Heinans in Aurora. We don't get them often, at Easter it was our desert. It was so bad, the cream was really grainy. I had talked it up so much to guests then had to throw it out, grab some ice cream for desert. A few weeks later, we tried a small one. It was better, not the great pie we hoped for. We know anyone can have a bad day. Flash forward to memorial day weekend. We got a small one to try before we go and get a big one for the weekend. Today is May 19, the pie was dated May 24th. HORRIBLE!! The filling was very grainy. Couldn't even just eat the topping. Thrown out. So done! 🤮

We always buy pies from here when we need to bring something for dessert and don't have time to bake. The crust is flakey and flavorful. Chocolate cream, strawberry cream cheese, banana split, caramel apple, lemon meringue and buckeye are just a few of our favorites. They used to make wonderful pot pies but I am not sure if they still do. The cookies are good and the pineapple cream cheese strudel is delicious. They cost a bit more than a grocery store but you get a delicious product with generous fillings, wonderful customer service where they treat you like they never met a stranger and are always welcoming and kind.
